The Room Upstairs is a cafe within a furniture shop. Lots of lamps, tables and chairs, chandeliers, wall clocks, etc. so I'd have to be a bit careful when moving around since I came here for the food, and not to pay for things I accidentally broke. The furniture in display added to the ambiance of the store. Gives a different feel to the place. Despite these things being on display, the place is well lighted and clean.
I've been to the place twice previously. It's near where I live and more importantly I'm enjoying the food. I say I got more than what I paid for everytime - ingredients are organic, fresh and they taste good too!
I tried the Chorizo Pasta. It is simple. The chorizo brings out the home cooked taste to it - not overpowering, just flavorful enough. I was also eyeing the Mushroom Aoili Pasta with Chicken but that would be for next time :-)
The Kesong Puti and Tomato Pandesal is one of their signature sandwiches. This is perfect for a light snack. I order this everytime I visit!
They also serve fresh salads for starters. Coffee to end the meal and desserts to go with it. The Assorted Russian Cookies...not that spectacular. But it can go nicely with the Kepeng Barako. There are other items in the dessert menu and there is always a next time!
The store is a bit hidden from the public but found out about it thru the Internet. It is not difficult to locate.
