I say Gigi deserves it

About a couple of years ago a friend of mine introduced me to Gigi...Gigi's Custaroons that is.  It is custard based topped with macaroons, two desserts in one! I first had the original minis, the bite size ones full of delight. Until I found out they also have these available, about 3 times the size of the minis :-)

These treats come in a nice package too, perfect for presents. Gigi's Custaroons was selected by Philippine Daily Inquirer as one of the 20 Best Desserts for 2011...and I say Gigi Gaerlan deserves the title.

 

They have two flavors, cheese and the original, both melts in your mouth in every bite. Others may find it too sweet after a couple of servings, but almost always can't help but grab a "one last" or two ;-)
